
Kickstart taught me a holistic approach to my overall health and wellbeing. I learnt how to comprehensively monitor how I feel every day - including my sleep, energy levels, digestion, and how hungry or satisfied I was after each meal. With help from Beth, my Kickstart coach, I have a new understanding of what works specifically for me, and how to tailor my lifestyle to suit my personal needs. Much more than meal planning, I learnt to give myself time to rest, structure my workouts, plan for my work day and to self-care, as well as an in-depth understanding of my own, personal, nutritional needs.

The Life Hub Kickstart program completely transformed the way I view fitness from focussing solely on exercise, to a completely holistic approach, combining exercise, nutrition and wellbeing. Over eight weeks the Kickstart program helped me overhaul my existing diet to one of unprocessed, balanced meals and organised meals that fuelled me all day and didn’t have me reaching for the snack cupboard. The meal plans and trackers ensured I always had the right fuel to get the most out of my workouts throughout the week whilst the regular check ins helped me stay on track and motivated. Whilst the physical changes to my body were extremely rewarding, the biggest change I experienced by participating in the Kickstart program is the changes in my mindset and the way I approach setting and achieving my fitness, personal and even professional goals. What separated the Kickstart program from any other was the quality of information provided about the concrete science of how your body responds to diet and exercise. The platform was super user-friendly, and the focus was on how I felt rather than looked or weighed, which was such a crucial change in perspective. The ultimate lesson was the disparity in what I had previously considered a balanced meal to be, versus what my body actually needed, and a depth of clarity was achieved about how to build a meal that keeps my body working and satisfied. The challenges of snacking etc were still prevalent, but the program is realistic, understands this can happen and makes a safe space to be honest whilst reflective about these choices. I lost a total of 10 cm from my frame in 8 weeks. The support from Beth and the team along the way kept me upbeat and motivated, and provided a hugely supportive place to be upfront, ask questions and seek guidance. Having been through the Kickstart studio program once before, I had a sense of what to expect going in. Of course in a post-COVID world everything was different and, on top of that, I was coming off an injury lay-off. The Online resources and tools were much improved and Beth created a custom training program for me based on my injury and the limited equipment available to me. This was crucial to keeping me on-track.
This 8 week program affirmed for me the importance of having a structure in place to increase the likelihood of sticking to my training and nutrition plans. Having a coach in my corner regularly checking in definitely helped me stay motivated.
I feel like I’ve been able to rebuild a base level of fitness and I’m really pleased that I’ve been able to hit my goal of maintaining my weight while increasing my training load.

I feel the fittest, healthiest and strongest I’ve ever been. I’ve gone from having constant little niggling injuries to none at all, I’m no longer getting headaches and I don’t feel sick or bloated after eating. I know what foods make me feel good and keep me fuller for longer. Before doing kickstart I was always feeling tired I now feel like I have more energy throughout the day. Even my breathing is better. I’ve got more confident in the kitchen and tried new things and actually don’t mind meal prepping because it makes my week so much simpler. I’ve learned that I can still eat some of my favourite foods and work them in to my week without depriving myself and enjoying myself. I’ve noticed so many changes to my body I look and feel leaner and can see definition now. I can see changes to my face and body. When I put on clothes they all feel loose and fit better. This is easily the best program I’ve ever done and the support and guidance is amazing!
